How to measure your ring size at home

Print the ring sizer at 100% and check the scale: a credit card should cover the box at the top exactly.
With a ring you already own: lay it on the circles. Your size is the circle whose line sits just inside the ring.
With the strip: cut it out, cut the slit, wrap it around the base of your finger, push the long end through the slit and read the number where it comes out. It should slide over the knuckle with a little resistance.

Tips for the right fit

Measure at the end of the day and when you are warm: fingers are smaller in the morning and in the cold.
Measure three or four times and go with the size that comes up most often.
Wide bands (6 mm or more) fit tighter, so go up half a size.
Between two sizes? Choose the larger one, especially if your knuckles are bigger than the base of your finger.

Questions

How accurate is a printable ring sizer?

As accurate as your print scale. Print at 100% and check the box with a credit card first; then the circles and the strip are within a fraction of a millimeter.

What does the EU size mean?

European sizes (ISO 8653) are the inside circumference of the ring in millimeters, so a size 54 ring measures 54 mm around the inside.

How do UK sizes work?

UK and Australian sizes use letters: A is the smallest at about 37.8 mm around, and each letter adds 1.25 mm, with half sizes in between.

Is a ring sizer from a jeweler more accurate?

A jeweler's metal sizer is the gold standard, and worth using for an expensive ring. For most rings, a careful printed sizer and a few measurements are enough.
