Making the letter feel real
- Be specific. "You learned to ride your bike without training wheels" is far more magical than "you were good". Santa knows things only someone watching closely would know.
- Mention the wish, but leave room for surprise: Santa says the elves are doing their best, not that the present is guaranteed.
- Use nice paper. Cream or parchment-style paper, or a slightly heavier sheet, makes the letter feel special.
- Deliver it with style: fold it into an envelope addressed in fancy handwriting, and leave it by the tree, with the cookie plate on Christmas morning, or in the mailbox.
