  • 100% free, no watermark
  • No sign-up
  • Your addresses never leave your device
  • No Word needed

One address per envelope, with an empty line between them. From a spreadsheet: copy the cells in Excel or Google Sheets, with the header row, and paste them here.

Address position
Fine-tune the position

Move the recipient's address, or everything if your printer feeds the envelope a little off. Negative numbers move left or up.

Loading the envelope printer…

The stamp box is only in the preview; it is not printed.

Your addresses never leave your device. The envelopes are made right here in your browser, so nothing is uploaded or stored.

How it works

Add the addresses

Type the recipients with an empty line between them, paste cells from a spreadsheet, or import a CSV or contacts file. Add your return address once.

Choose the envelope

Pick the size printed on the box, the font and the position. The preview shows each envelope; use Previous and Next to check them.

Test, then print

Print one on plain paper or a spare envelope, then print the rest. The PDF has one page per envelope, already at the envelope's size.

Print settings that work

  • Paper size: in the print dialog, choose the envelope size (for example Envelope #10 or DL). If it is not listed, add a custom paper size with the measurements below.
  • Scale: Actual size or 100%, never Fit to page.
  • Paper type: choose Envelope if your printer offers it. Thick envelopes feed better through the rear or manual feed slot.
  • Which way in: most printers show the envelope direction with a small picture on the tray. If yours does not, mark a plain sheet with an arrow and the word TOP and print a test to see how it comes out.
  • Feed a few at a time. Flatten the flaps and the edges first; curled envelopes jam.

Size is given as height × width, the usual way envelopes are named. More sizes, and which ones count as letters for postage, in the envelope sizes chart.

Where the addresses go

The US Postal Service asks for the delivery address and the return address on the same side, written parallel to the long side of the envelope, with your return address in the upper left corner. Its machines read the delivery address inside an area that starts 5/8 in above the bottom edge and ends 2¾ in above it, with ½ in clear at each side. In Standard position the tool keeps the address inside that area and leaves the bottom strip free for the barcode the post office prints.

Centered position puts the address in the middle, the classic look for wedding invitations and formal cards. Read the full rules, with examples, in how to address an envelope.

Questions

Will my printer print on envelopes?

Most home inkjet and laser printers take standard envelopes like #10, A7 and A2, often through a rear or manual feed. Check the paper sizes listed in your printer's manual. Large catalog envelopes (9 × 12 in) usually do not fit.

The address prints in the wrong place. What do I do?

First make sure the paper size in the print dialog matches the envelope and the scale is 100%. If everything is shifted by the same amount, enter it under Fine-tune the position, then print a new test.

Can I print only my return address?

Use the return address labels instead: they are faster for a big stack. Or leave the Recipients box with your own address and turn off the return address.

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no limit. The site is paid for by ads.

Prefer labels?

Print the same list on Avery-compatible address labels, 30 per sheet.
